Unsolved Mystery – The Black Dahlia
The Black Dahlia is the name given to an American lady Elizabeth Short who was murdered in 1947 in Los Angeles, California.
On January 15 1947 her body was seen by a local woman the local woman first thought it was a mannequin however after realizing that it was body she called the police.
The case received nationwide media attention and the most shocking thing for the police was over many years more than 50 people have confessed to the murder making the case more complicated.
The case was also linked to the lipstick murders and Cleveland Torso Murderer.
However no one was ever convicted for the crime. The case is one of the most notorious unsolved cases in Los Angeles police history.
