In 1997, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) detected an ultra low frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound, they named it Bloop. The sound was detected over 5000 Km/ 3100 mi. Sound is consistent with the noises generated by ice-quakes in icebergs, but in 2002 it was believed that is was large marine animals. When you play sound at 16X speed it was like the “Bloop”. The Experts almost agreed that this one, come with some holding a possibility a mermaid or fish-men.
The sound source was a remote point in the south Pacific Ocean west of the southern tip of South America. Sound was detected several times. But after sometime NOAA believes they solved the mystery. NOAA thinks the noise was Ice related.
